Lactol is a complementary food for weaned kittens, pregnant or lactating females and sick or convalescent cats . It contains high-quality, easily digestible proteins and provides an important source of energy.
Beaphar Lactol is made from highly digestible whey protein. Whey protein is known for its very high biological value and its essential amino acids (protein components). In addition, the ultrafiltration process guarantees the concentration of proteins.
A slow and careful low-temperature drying process during production preserves protein molecules and even fragile immunoglobulin molecules. This careful drying process can even produce up to 10% more growth than conventionally dried powder, thanks to better protein digestibility. Beaphar Lactol has a superior amino acid content and offers a perfectly balanced and complete diet.
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is naturally present in breast milk and plays an important role in brain and vision development. DHA has been shown to improve cognitive ability and visual acuity in newborn mammals. Much has been published about the added value of DHA, but this knowledge is rarely applied to milk substitutes. DHA has been added to Lactol Kitten Milk to support kittens in their optimal development.

HOW TO MIX LACTOL:
Add Lactol Kitten Milk to hot (not boiling) water and stir until completely dissolved. Let cool until lukewarm (38°C or blood temperature). It is advisable to use appropriate feeding equipment, such as the Beaphar Bottle Kit. These should always be clean and sterile, especially for young animals. Lactol Kitten Milk can be kept prepared in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but must be warmed to blood temperature for young animals before use. Always keep fresh water available.
RECOMMENDED DILUTION:
Add 7 level tablespoons (4.5 g per tablespoon) per 100 ml of warm water.
RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE:
It is impossible to indicate the precise daily amount due to variations in age, size and breed.
Feeding “on demand” is the most effective. However, our recommended daily doses are found in the attached leaflet. Weigh each kitten regularly to make sure he is gaining weight daily.
